Past Perfect




Quando viene usato:

Il past perfect si usa per indicare un'azione avvenuta prima di un'altra nel passato. Nelle frasi seguenti la parte in blu rappresenta questo tipo di azione.


1) Ero in ritardo al lavoro perché avevo perso l'autobus.
2) L'aereo era già decollato quando arrivai all'aeroporto.
3) Quando mi hai telefonato avevo già mangiato.




Come si forma regole:

Questo tempo viene costruito usando l'ausiliare had seguito dal participio passato del verbo; se non ti ricordi come si forma dai un'occhiata alla pagina past participle dei verbi regolari e irregolari dove troverai molti esempi.

Forme:

Affermativa: soggetto + had + participio passato del verbo
Interrogativa: had + soggetto + participio passato
Negativa: soggetto + had not + participio passato
